Stainless Steel Socket Weld Fittings

Socket weld fittings are a family of high pressure fittings used in connecting and creating pipe-work systems whereby they are welded into the system using circumferential socket welds.

Features of Socket Weld Fittings

They are used only in conjunction with ANSI Pipe and are available in the same size range.
They are used in areas where pipe-work is permanent and are designed to provide good flow characteristics.
Socket weld fittings are produced to BS3799, ASTM A182 & ANSI B16.11 as applicable.
They are available in four pressure ratings: 2000lb, 3000lb, 6000lb & 9000lb.
The same range of high pressure fittings is also available with screwed ends with NPT threads.

90o Elbow: Enables the pipe run to be turned through a right angle.
45o Elbow: Enables the pipe run to be turned through 45 degrees.
Equal Tee: Allows the connection of a branch at right angles from the main pipe run. Female thread at all three connections.
Cross: Rarely used. Can bring 3 flow lines into one or act as a tee with a flow or pressure meter on the fourth leg.
Full Coupling: Used to connect two pipes.
Reduced Coupling: A shorter coupling.
Half Coupling: An even shorter coupling that is half the length of a full coupling.
Union: Used to connect two pipes. Used when easy or regular access is required. E.g. for cleaning.
Cap: Used for blanking off
