It is a ferritic, non-hardenable plain chromium stainless steel with excellent finish quality.<\/p><p>Grade 430 also has excellent resistance to nitric attack, which makes it well suited to use in chemical applications. The most popular applications for 430 are in domestic appliances and decorative trim.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/zhss.org\/metals\/stainless-steel\/commercial-stainless-steel-alloys\/s43000-430-stainless-steel\/\"><strong data-start=\"127\" data-end=\"150\">430 stainless steel<\/strong><\/a> is a <strong data-start=\"156\" data-end=\"200\">ferritic, chromium-based stainless steel<\/strong> known for its <strong data-start=\"215\" data-end=\"292\">good corrosion resistance, excellent formability, and magnetic properties<\/strong>. It belongs to the <strong data-start=\"312\" data-end=\"346\"><a href=\"https:\/\/zhss.org\/metals\/stainless-steel\/commercial-stainless-steel-alloys\/410-stainless-steel-s41000-bar\/\">400 series<\/a> of stainless steels<\/strong> and is widely used in applications where <strong data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"434\">moderate corrosion resistance and low cost<\/strong> are important.<\/p><p>Property data given in this document is typical for bar and flat rolled products covered by EN standards.
